Andrew Rudback's Brand

Building a Brand
What is my brand? Everyone has one and everyone needs to build one in the world of business.

I am an outgoing individual who strives to do my best at everything I do, whether it be sports, school or work if I am doing it I wanna do it right. Aside from that I am capable of both being a team leader and a team player, I love working with people or doing solo projects, I am happy to be in control of the group but I am also capable of taking directions. I like to think my work ethic is a reflection of me as a person, as I make sure everything I produce I am proud and be able to be happy with whatever I produce both work and schooling. I consider myself to be very capable with technology revolving around things such as Excel and similar programs. The other skill I bring to the table is I consider my public speaking skills to be very good as I consider myself to be very confident and capable at giving presentations regardless of the topic. I am also very good at juggling my time and energy. I don't let myself become too wrapped up in one thing to do others. While working hard in school I make sure I leave time for; work, family, and social/recreational time. As far as goals I am sure to make sure I set achievable goals that help me reach my potential, for school I plan on achieving my CPA while graduating from University of Ontario Institute of Technology after my transfer. And then I plan on pursuing a accounting position with a large corporation. I consider myself loyal and hard working and hope to be a valuable asset to whatever person or company gives me the opportunity to become a member of their team.

What Skills do I bring?

What Skills do I bring to my Group? "Ultimately, leadership is not about glorious crowning acts. It's about keeping your team focused on a goal and motivated to do their best to achieve it, especially when the stakes are high and the consequences really matter. It is about laying the groundwork for others' success, and then standing back and letting them shine." Chris Hadfield  https://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/chris_hadfield_637159 The overlaying skill I feel I bring to the table in my group setting is leadership. I have taken it upon myself to try and be my groups leader, through setting up meetings, picking and arranging topics, but also listening to my groups strengths, weaknesses and comforts with certain things as to help them excel in there strong areas. Going into a business job in accounting, teamwork and group work is very prevalent in today's day and age. So being able to take on the role of a leader is a very looked for trait by employers...
Interviewing and the Steps Needed        Before an interview some steps still need to be taken. The first thing is dress for the job you want. It is extremely important that you come dressed for the occasion, this means probably don't want to wear sweatpants to an accounting job interview, dress as you would a normal day going to that job. Have an idea of what you want to say, likely you will not know exactly what will be asked but make sure you have a key set of things such as skills that you want to put on display during the interview.     During the interview it is extremely important to do a number of things. First off you want to make sure you appear confident and calm, make sure you display yourself in a professional manner. Important to be very clear and have a good volume and voice tone, it is hard to hear your amazing skills if you are mumbling, While speaking try and maintain eye contact, maintain a good posture and also avoid long pa...
